Very well with your eyes closed and visions of Sugar Bowls dancing in your head ! NOTE: Pat Forde chimes in: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2697379
I wonder if they would still be complaining if Nutt really did run a spread passing offense with all the freshmen, and went 0-12.
Is Williams going to transfer to Florida? Isnt that where he was going to go before they hired his highschool coach?
Yes, that is where he committed to first, no idea where he will land not surprised if it will be there.
Figured you guys may be having some fun with this, and yep. Not that I blame you, it truly is a circus up here. There is a little more to the story, and it is so strange, you may find it hard to believe. Last week Mustain received an email from an anonymous person bashing him pretty hard. Lots of juvenile things, and lots of "I wish you would transfer" stuff. Not a big deal usually, athletes get these things all the time. The thing about this email however, was that the signed name "Teresa", happened to be the name of asst. coach Danny Nutt's (Houston's brother) physical therapist (who is also a family friend and apparently bats**t crazy). Following me? The email was also cc'ed to Houston Nutt's wife. There is talk that it has also been traced to Danny Nutt's computer. The investigation is ongoing and I believe the police may already be involved. As the Razorbacks turn. I wish I was pulling you guy's legs, but I'm not.
Sure seams to be putting a negative spin on the good season you guy's have had. Hopefully the upperclassmen on your team will step up and take care of business.
Hogcalls, good to hear from you. I can't speak for everyone but I think for most, we joke, mostly in jest, when it's an opponent. When classy posters like yourself visit it takes on a different perspective for me and brings it home a little. Just for you to know, Arkansas has a lot of respect nationwide and especially in the SEC. We will be pulling for you guys in the bowl game. I didn't realize Houson Nutt's brother was an ass't. That's why there are laws against nepotism in many organizations- it should never have happened. Look at the Bowdens in Miami, also, USC has a situation with Pete hiring an asst- I forget the tie between them. I posted this already but the meeting, based on my understanding, should not have happened;however, if it was because of the emails allegedly from a coach, coach's family member that's a little different from what was being reported. Was the meeting only with Mustain and his parents or the 3 athletes and their parents? If it was the latter, it shouldn't have happened......once you let the tale wag the dog, the problems are only beginning. Hope it gets cleared up. Drives home an intangible about coaching.........sometimes it's the things that don't happen that they should be credited for too. We are very fortunate that Miles is an upstanding, class act with a lot of integrity. Appreciate you letting us know how it's going, good information can help to counter misinformation.
The meeting did indeed involve three sets of parents. Mustain's, Williams', and Ben Cleveland's folks. The fan base is pretty split over the whole thing. Yes, lies were told, but lies go on at every recruiting visit in every D-I program in America. Who knows? Maybe it comes down to how much deception you can stomach before it's too much. It's becoming pretty obvious why Gus Malzahn was hired however, and that's a shame because he really has a great football mind. Gus has conducted himself with class all year, also. It's hard to see him put in such a no-win situation. My feeling is that if he doesn't get a major OC level offer this year, he'll stick around one more year to gain some experience, then bolt. Recruiting is going to take a huge hit, and we're not exactly lighting it up in the first place. If we're ever going to win the SEC, we'd better do it next year before Mcfadden leaves to become an instant millionaire. So, enough about our little saga up here. I'll be pulling hard for you guys in the Sugar. It doesn't take much for me to root against ND, but it will be sweet to see my 2nd favorite SEC team whip that tail!
