It seems you folks have forgotten one thing about that game. Russell was HIT BIG early in the game, right on his head and was replaced by Flynn. But he was too tough, he came back into the game.

I am not sure about the timing of this injury to Ainge, but there has been some press in Tennessee about changes in UT's spring practice. Generally the reoprts are about the coaching staff wanting the practices to be harder hitting, more practices in full pads, etc, and the move to the no huddle offense.

There has been some rumbling about risking injuries and so I suspect the mention of Ainge being hurt in the weight room could have been an attempt to deflect the blame. Also, I hold my breath every spring and fall - players risk injury at every practice, not to mention every game. Anyway, I always hate to see things like this happen to a player, no matter what team.

jonathan crompton is a better QB than ainge is anyways.
UT will win the SEC East this year, even with the departure of R. Meachem.

Not sure why you quoted me when you said "you folks". As you can see, I know who finished the game. That was my point.:thumb:

UT will not have the defensive strength to win the SEC East outright.
Tennessee and Fulmer will have to pin their hopes on a bunch of teams going 5-3.

Dude, it's knee cartilage. It's like a 6-8 week injury. It's not serious.
