UGA closes in on 3rd SEC regular season championship since 2001

Georgia's first late-inning comeback of the season put the Bulldogs within a win of their third SEC regular-season championship since 2001.

"That was the first comeback in the ninth inning that we've had," Georgia coach David Perno said. "That's a good thing to get going, and we did it from the bottom of the order."
Georgia was on the verge of its first shutout in 74 games until scoring in the ninth. It has not been held scoreless since Ole Miss shut them out 9-0 April 8, 2007.
