Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III Not necessarily, growing up I was in my fair share of very similar ordeals, and most of the time regardless of who is involved the cops will generally try to find out who really were the troublemakers. You can't be an accomplice by just being there. Just hope that no one else did anything wrong. Also give Odom a break there is no telling what was said to tick him off, but I am sure there are instances where we would all probably defend ourselves to the point of going after the person who did or said something to us. Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III This is The Guy's story, of course, it's off the internet and is not validated as yet. We haven't heard Odom's side yet or the Athletic Department's. The Advocate did not report this part and it may not be true. Again, this is The Guy's story. The Advocate did not report anything about 14 players. It may be an exaggeration. Also the Advocate reported nothing about RP or any other athlete except for Ryan Foyil, who was a neighbor of The Guy, and may be the same person as Ace Foyil, a walk-on linebacker transfer from Tulane. Newspaper editors check out stories carefully before publishing them. A lot of rumors and innuendo's are flying that haven't been verified. Let Les sort it all out and we'll see how it goes. He had time to cool off and think it through, but yet he returned to the guy's apartment the next day wanting to kick his butt. It's one thing to lose your cool during a heated exchange. It's another thing to have time to think about it and make a bad decision.
Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III Everyone needs to read the Advocate article that Red linked. We are speculating on a lot of stuff here that is not mentioned at all in the paper. It could very well be that some of this stuff has been blown out of proportion.

That could hurt the image of the program worse than any actual wrong doings or loss of players. I hope that it dies down before the media sharks smell blood.

Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III Miles has obviously known about this for some time. The guy had to start calling the athletic department soon after the incident. That being the case, Miles has probably done almost all his investigation that he's going to do. There is probably no new information coming out now that wasn't already known. If Miles didnt suspend Odem prior to this warrant being issued than what is it he knows about the incident? Was he trying to wait and see if this got settled? There is a lot that doesnt add up here gang. There is more to this story, you can be assured of that.
