Do you honestly think that in the last weeks before the football season that Miles has the time on his hands to launch an independent investigation? Obviously Odem was denying the charges. Why would Miles automatically assume the other guy was telling the truth? Isn't that what police investigators are for? Do you think that maybe, just maybe, he was waiting to see the results of the police investigation into the allegations before suspending a player? I know, sounds crazy...
Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III well, while it is embarrassing to have it in the news (i am cringing about the next visit with my ou friend when he gets wind of this) what disturbs me is the rumours and not knowing the level of truth in what is being reported - both "officially" and not. i think the sooner that all of the FACTS come out and the issue is resolved, the better. the team does not need the whole situation - including the press, rumours, and innuendo - distracting them as they get into playing games. the team needs some stability and they need it fast!

Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III Who cares what an OU fan (or anybody else) says? It's a guy that got in a fight. He called his boys to help out. How is it surprising or even mildly shocking or the least bit disturbing that 18-22 year old FOOTBALL players with incredibly high testosterone, a dominant personality and a general lack of maturity get into fights? Is that not a fairly expected result of some players? Keep in mind, not all football players are the same. There are docile ones off the field and some that aren't. So freaking what? If this wasn't your little snot nose kid mouthing off that got the car that daddy bought him dinged up, this story does not affect you. I just checked and the sky isn't falling. NOTE: this message not entirely directed at Okie, but for everyone that thinks this is some sort of big deal.
