From the little I've heard about this story (and nothing since last week), Briles knew enough about the situation that he should not have been quoted as recently as a month (or so) ago that this dude was expected to be starting in the opener. Baylor and TCU are the only two schools in Texas ranked in the preseason top 25 (and they are both in the top 4). I realize that the Horns and Ags are down a bit but that doesn't seem plausible. My 12 yr old is attempting to make the cross country team so I suggested that he try those Gatorade energy chews. He said that seems like cheating. I think Briles lives in that grey area of "If you ain't cheatin, you ain't trying".
