all coaches pick their spots to motivate when it means the most. you dont coach a regular season game when you have the postseason wrapped up nearly as hard as the playoffs. Because Smoke stated it publically I tend to agree that it is not in the team's best interest to hear the coach be non-chalante regardless the game. Coaches usually show its (in)significance by how hard they coach for that game. especially in baseball....its meant to be played everyday and should be played hard regardless the situation. this isn't football or hockey. otherwise, I agree with the rest of the article for the most part.
