That's all this is about? Nothing else? He wasn't caught lurking around her apartment or following her around? No evidence that he actually had any intention to hurt her? So one "threatening" text message = felony stalking in Florida? Seems pretty draconian.
Wow. Milesisms and bad clock mang jokes ain't nothing compared to the beating fl and their genius coach just got hit with. Makes what they say about miles look like childsplay
he was charged with stalking, but the woman said she was never threatened by him, nor did she want to press charges, says he is harmless, which pretty much sums up the life of Florida Tailback.... zing!!!
He probably could have argued that he was threatening to kill himself or that he was simply wishing for her to die or expressing callous indifference, but he would have been risking a felony conviction.
Allegedly the text was sent in the aftermath of an argument between them and he left and sent her the threatening text. And all because of a missed booty call. [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5570905"]Florida Gators' Chris Rainey arrested, charged with stalking - ESPN[/ame]
Lets play name that felon: Which one of these mugshots is a Florida Gator? Chris Rainey Wondy Pierre Louis Carlos Dunlap Gary Brown
I don't know....send the same message to the President, and the Secret Service will come knocking on your door with 'cuffs drawn. Why should threatening an ordinary citizen be less serious?
Like the author mentions, Miami has had 1 arrest in the same time period. You have standards and you hold to them regardless of the possibility of losing a great player. The rest of the team will get the message. Break the rules and lose your ride and the big stage that comes with it.
