If Texas A&M and VaTech join the SEC, monkey see, monkey do will be in full swing, Big Ten & PAC will add another 2 each, the left overs will form a 14 man Conference Are we any closer to a playoff? I just dont see it if Notre Dame and Texas remain indy's
I suspect it will be Auburn that moves to the East in order to accommodate a couple of new additions to the West. I will hate to lose the automatic matchup against most of the West teams, but either AU or bama needs to separate to the East for the general health of the rivalry. The current state of the iron Bowl is good for neither program, but you can never "fix stupid." As usual, it is always the selfish actions of the few that spoil a great thing for the masses.
ESPN Joe Schaad reported that the SEC would be willing to play with 13 teams for ONE season then add the 14th the following year. Odds are Auburn will stay where they are at in the SEC West and an additional team, possibly a Va Tech, will be added the following year in the SEC East to even the division at 7 teams a piece.
I am deeply saddened by this of ALL schools I dont want in the SEC it is A&M. I read a post by an A&M fan that said "The first thing we should do when we get to the SEC is start a campaign to get LSU removed" Stupid comment yes, obviously not an option yes. But is a very good example of the A&M fan, their arrogance, and flat out jack assery... I cannot think of a fan base I look forward to less interacting with.. Rude, pompous jerk offs who do nothing but insult the state of Louisiana and its people. This is a sad day for the SEC. They do not fit. But I am happy we can roll out Florida and play essentially a Kentucky type team each year.
For purely selfish reasons I am tickled pink that aTm will be joining. I thought I knew most of my SEC history but I did not know there was bad blood between y'all (LSU) and the aggies until last year's Cotton Bowl. And now the news of aTm joining the SEC West that is all the LSU fans around my social circles are talking about. I think LSU needs a true "hated rivalry". As an Alabama fan we've already got Auburn and Tennessee. We don't need nor cannot plate anymore than that.These two alone take up A LOT of energy so there's no room for equal "hated rival status" for LSU. Normally around this time of year I get all kinds of trash talk, ribbin' and smack heeped upon me by my friends who are LSU fans. But since the aggie moving to the sec talk has started not so. Their attention has been around aTm and how much they can't stand them. So I'm hoping aTm can take our place in regards to y'alls "most hated" rivalry.

I , as an lsu fan , don't hate Alabama. I see Alabama as out greatest obstacle to winning the sec west every year. They are the team we must beat. I want Alabama to lose other sec games because it helps lsu get to the dance. They are our rival because were usually the two toughest kids on the block. Arkanasas is that punk in the neighborhood that won't turn down the radio and drives too fast, squealing his tires. The weiner that tries to act tough. The 17 year old virgin that can't get a date to the prom. Auburn just sucks. They try and call themselves tigers. Were the tigers. They can shove their bird up their arrogant azz. Florida is a big game. Just as emotional as Alabama but diffrent. Beating Alabama is all business. Youre in the way to Atlanta. Florida is personal. They don't like us and we don't like them. Texas a&m looks down on us. They call us inbred and shizt like that. They say we eat roadkill etc. They look like a bunch of floppin queers with their male cheerleaders.I go for all sec teams when they play out of conference games, even Florida. I will never pull for tamu. I don't care if they are in the sec. I would pull for USC( the gay ones from California ) if they played aginst tamu. The aggies suck. College football would be better off if they got the death penality like smu.
