Early on in the game when it was 3rd and 23, I would've had JR launch it down the field. If it's an incomplete, we punt. If we catch it, awesome. If it's intercepted, fine. JR can throw it so far that an interception would be just like a punt essentially...and we'd probably pin them back farther, too!

I am not specifically signaling out this game...mine is an observation ovewr the last two years. We have so much speed on the offensive side of the ball, but yet we hardly ever utilize it to go down the field. it seems to me that most of the time we do throw deep is when JR gets flushed out of the pocket and "backyard football rules" kick in where receivers are just running deep.

it is obvious this year how much Alley B was missed, and maybe his presence would have opened up the passing game more. just seems our offense is too predictible.

I couldn't agree more. We definitely had the talent to be ranked in the top 5, but we never pulled it all together and played like a top 5 team--we were good at best, but not great--we did just enough to win, but never dominated a worthy opponent--
