That's funny. Another thing we know for sure from his myspace is that he's definitely not prejudiced. :D

I heard he is in better playing shape this year and Dandydon said the same thing after seeing him at practice yesterday. He might need to shed a few more pounds but he is on track to be back to form but it may be a little too late with him. Hope he finds his plave with our team even if it is a sideline leadership role.

We have several speedy young backs. Broussards role will be the power back on this team, which he is known to be very good at. Those extra pounds may not hurt him in this role if they are muscle and not flab.

It ain't that simple. Some injuries are more serious than others, some are quick rehabs, some are very slow and long, and some injuries are career-ending.

I think that has more to do with the players. I mean, Joe Addai seemed to have a pretty good year last year :thumb: . And even then, we have great young talent that is more than capable of stepping up when the upper classmen get injured (JV, JA, and AB in 03). That turned out to be a pretty good year i'd say

JV came back fine. Broussard's struggle to come back has been more mental than physical. RJ Jackson was another one who injured his knee, not sure how he's come back...

As for Alley, someone on another board posted that the reason he was suspended for the first week of spring practice was because he failed the test on the new offensive playbook (which would say a lot for how hard he is trying). This is not at all confirmed, but I believe it.

Also, since there is no contact we can't see whether Alley is going to be hesitant or not. Last year, he was scared to run through the tackles if there were people low near his knees. And he's still about 240lbs, way too big even if he is used primarily for short yardage situations.

He wasn't injured until the Peach Bowl, after the 05 season. JV not coming back to his 03 form had nothing to do with injury.

Maybe our expectations were a little high. The offensive line in 2003 absoultely dominated at the end of the year and a lot of credit should go to them because he was running through a lot of open holes. JV was not our fastest or strongest RB, but he could really break tackles well. He put on some weight, never really was able to juke like he did before. The injury never really helped either.
