I find that funny. Here you cite "hearing Alums are upset with Coach O," and it's a group of Alums, players, a couple of coaches who have passed that information along. MSU is going to have to at least double its win total from last year, the year before, and the year before...or, the seat is going to be so hot for Croom it'll be a lot like what you see Arkansas fans saying right now about Nutt. That being said, where do you see 6 wins coming from? Aug. 30 LSU Sept. 8 at Tulane Sept. 15 at Auburn Sept. 22 JACKSONVILLE STATE Sept. 29 at South Carolina Oct. 6 UAB Oct. 13 TENNESSEE Oct. 20 at West Virginia Oct. 27 at Kentucky Nov. 10 ALABAMA Nov. 17 at Arkansas (Little Rock) Nov. 24 OLE MISS I can see 3, possible 4..luck might get you 5. Your conference record right now is 4-20...perhaps, that explains your thought process? :yelwink2:
I've spent part of tonight looking at your team. At best, I see 4-8. And, I have to wonder about teams like Tulane who MSU lost to last year. Croom likes the W. Coast offense...you don't have the players to run it. SEC? One win vs Ole Miss. Does that keep his job? I see, seriously, a 1-7 record vs the SEC, and the only win coming against Ole Miss. When I look at your team I see the OL, the LBs's and DB's are ok, but mediocre when it comes to SEC play. It took OT to beat UAB last yr. Granted, you beat Bama but under what was a lame-duck coach. The players knew it, the media didn't.
Entered predicted results in post reflected above, i.e., 7-5 record, and a bowl game. Jacksonville State had to be replaced at last minute by Gardner-Webb, since their AD goofed up and scheduled two teams for same date. Go Dawgs! ClaraDawg
We will not have any need to fire Coach Croom. He will have State back on track this season. Even if he doesn't, he will be back for the following season at least. Go Dawgs! ClaraDawg
I could go on and on with a few of your games, but I'll just choose three to make a brief point. You lost to Tulane last year, at home. It took OT to defeat UAB. And, if someone offered 30 points and UK in that game, I'd take it without blinking. The others...well, don't need a response.
Last year's performance by the "Dawgs" will have little or no bearing on this year's result's. Each year stands on its own in all sports, not just football. I stand by my 7 & 5 prediction for 2007, Kentucky included. Go Dawgs! ClaraDawg
I appreciate your confindence. My only remaining question is whether or not you'll be here Friday morning after the match-up with LSU. :thumb:
