Yeah, there's a bit of a gap between, "money is everything", and not saving enough of years of a six figure salary to be able to take care of yourself. Money isn't everything in your personal life but it's pretty damn important that you have the ability to budget and plan for things if you're going to run the country.
How do you know he didn't donate a lot to charity. Personally I find it refreshing that there is a guy out there who can't be bought, and isn't doing what he is doing for money or fame.
Money isn't everything unless you don't have enough. Even if Sanders was a guy I would vote for I can't respect anybody who wants to run a multi-trillion dollar economy who is almost as broke as the Hilldebeast claimed to be.
I think some of his ideas are looney and some of his facts are skewed, but the fact that he isn't beholden to someone with a deep pocket is really refreshing.
Sanders may not be beholden to any deep pockets now but if he were to get the nomination and make a serious run to win he would be.
