As of this morning the information on where Garrett would end up was split among MSU insiders. Some said they had no room but the latest news is that Garrett will finish his classes this simmer at LSU and report to MSU in August as a walk-on. He would gain a scholarship in 2011 and they wouldn't sign a QB in the next class.

I guess we will have official word pretty soon. I updated the attrition list on the 1st page.

Rumblings going around that Stavion Lowe will be on this list as well or already is because of Asthma and a knee injury.

man, these are huge names from recent recruiting periods that we are losing. asthma is generally not a precluder from sports. it is something that can be controlled over time, and dealt with acutely when needed. if it is severe enough that he cannot play, that should have been known prior to accepting his commitment, imo. if you are that severe that you cannot play sports, it is not something that just comes up at 18-19y/o, it is typically an evolution over a long stretch of time. now, a knee injury is different, if that is the main issue.

It is a combination so understandable and he has been passed up by 2 or 3 of the younger guys already so it must of had a major effect.

The only depth charts you will see are projections based on practice reports and what not but Evan Washington passed him up in the Spring and Chris Faulk passed him up last fall. He was already behind Barksdale, Hurst, Dworaczyk, Branch, and Shaw.

    Here is one projection:

Dandydon does one too but it has a bunch of errors with positions of the OL and he is the 3rd RT on his and the Scout premium depth chart also confirms him getting passed up.

    1st post updated with Lowe.

I don't think Lowe will be the last on this list but not sure who the other or others would be yet.

Why would a redshirt freshman be concerned about being low on the depth chart? Offensive linemen don't normally develop into SEC talent before their third year.

Because a freshman and another redshirt freshman passed him up on the roster already and he feels like he has a better chance to earn playing time elsewhere. Also there is only one senior OL on the roster so there is a log jar of freshman and sophomores that he is already behind.
