Auburn looks very mortal right now. Burns has done a fantastic job of getting AU back into the game, but I'm not so sure if a team has a chance to prepare for him that that might continue into the future. The question isn't so much if Auburn wins this game, as I feel they will.. check that. (Mississippi State just picked off Kodi Burns, heh.) Anyway, it's 14-13 right now, and if Auburn holds off the Bulldogs, it's clearly not an impressive win and perhaps a portent of things to come. Could it be that Auburn is overtaken this year in the West by Alabama? I certainly would not have thought so a month ago, but the defense has not been as stout for Auburn as expected, and their offense is horrid. Having a spread offense with Burns is effective against similar talent/competition, but eventually you have to be able to throw the ball. Especially against the upper echelon teams. Either way this has been a fascinating game to watch. A lot of credit to State's defense. They've hung in there. Brian ~Go Tigers!~
We are gonna absolutely rip AU's heart out in Tiger Stadium. The ref game revenge will be very bad for Tuberville. :hihi:
When a team benches their Sr. QB that has been responsible for leading them to some pretty impressive wins in his career, in favor of an unknown Freshman, and THEN go BACK to your Sr. once you have given away the lead, then you KNOW it's a sign that things aren't going well for you....
Auburn needs to score a TD on this drive. If they do, not only is will there likely be little time left on the clock, but Miss. St. doesn't have an offense that can march down the field in a 2 min. drill. Game's over if Auburn can't get a TD here because I don't think they can stop MSU's running game. Auburn is playing with some urgency this drive though...wonder where that focus was the other 46 min.??
I hope this game doesn't come down to a replay booth call. If so, we know the outcome. Auburn may win but they don't look good at all.
