He should have said "could" start. Besides, with VY and Lein-heart gone, it's not a far-fetched statement. Brady Quinn? The closest he'll get to the Heisman is in the pre-season voting.

When has college football rankings ever made any sense?
Preseason or postseason, you can't fix a broken horse.
This is one reason why I've always been for some kind of playoff system.
It doesn't have to last for months, just the top 4 teams in a playoff.
The BCS hasn't fixed things, just made things worse with more controversy.

    Btw
It really made a lot of sense having #22 team playing in the Orange bowl
while #9 and #10 teams played in the Peach bowl?

Not at all. Mocking you and the barn is quite easy these days.

Thanks, Captain Obvious. We hadn't thought of that.

LSU could have worse problems that two Parade All-Americans and a Bowl MVP all competing for the job. Nobody is out of the race, yet.

With all due respect, LSU beat Auburn and never so much as slowed Kenny Irons. There's nothing "simple" about handling the top tier SEC teams. Many of the cticisms of BC are fair, but given it was his first season as the starter, it wasn't much different that JR's '04 season .... inconsistent.

And you would know all about that seeing as Auburn never had that much talented depth....

To be honest, I think Cox looked better in his redshirt freshman season than JaMarcus did. Both were inconsistent, but Cox was actually learning the position while it seemed JaMarcus continued to improvise all season.

Damn, Marine, you must be handing out some serious rep to get back to me so quick. I appluad your efforts.

Thanks for the red, Jean Lafitte. Don't worry, I'm not leaving. Let's see if you can get one of the green dots to actually go away with the next round.

    Keep it coming, boys.
