Yes, Auburn is very good. Don't sell them short. It's difficult to see what weakness we really have after playing two severely overmatched opponents, but I guess the same could be said for AU. But whatever weaknesses either side has will be exposed. We'll know a lot more about both Tigers on Saturday.
I also would not assume that the Auburn team that beat MSU but did not look stellar in doing it, will be the same Auburn team that shows up on satuday to do battle with us. They will be at an emotional peak on Saturday, well prepared by their coaches. A college teams psyche can change a lot in a week, and their performance with it. They'll be ready, and loaded for bear. First rule of going on a bear hunt; be sure you are loaded for bear. They've probably not opened up their offense either, as we haven't. No need to give any info to the enemy too soon. It will be fun. This is what we live for, BIG GAMES.:geauxtige
That's interesting, but IMO it's just as possible that all the planning could turn into over-thinking the LSU game. Sometimes you can lose focus, but you can also over focus and get too wound up about it. I hope the Auburn coaching staff is wound up about the game and transfers that feeling to their players, and they play tight.
Oh is the excitement ever building. It's a really interesting fact that out of the past 6 years the winner of every LSU vs. Auburn game was the home team. I certainly hope LSU can break that record this year.
I'm glad they have been pointing to this game since summer. I have been looking forward to it since I walked out of Tiger Stadium last fall. Here's to a hard fought game between the two best teams in the SEC West. May the home team win!
Agreed about the D. I lost count of how many times I simply said, "Wow" when watching the game. It was borderline ridiculous how the D was overwhelming Az.

It may be pointless to prepare for the opponent too early as your image of the team is based on the previous years' performance and character. You will never know what kind of team you will actually face until they are actually playing on the field this season. One example is the 2004 team when the pieces of the puzzle were not quite set in place after the 2003 championship team. This year, the Tigers were IMO vastly improved offensively, very deep in the WR and RB core and with a much improved and confident JR. The key is for the offensive line to gel and play well together and this team will be awesome. The defense still remains solid if not better than last year. This tough and big road game will be the ultimate test of this team's real character. ________ Wellbutrin Side Effect
