They were expecting to get Jimbo Fisher away from LSU, perhaps? They are delusional. But, heck, let's hear what the Baubie Dolls have to say, because they are always lurking around here. What say you, unworthy opponents from the Plains? What do you think of this hire? My opinion of why the OC hire was not more impressive: people know that Tubby is on the hotseat and he and the whole staff could easily be gone after next season or perhaps after 2005. Who the heck wants to coach at a place where the staff is likely to be fired en masse in the next two seasons? Thoughts, Baubies? (I know that you are out there.) :geaux: :lsug:
My personal opinion is that I hope the Tub stays at Aubieville for a long time, because if Jimbo is inclined to take a head coaching position, Auburn is prime territory. It could be that he turned down MSU this year because he knows it's possible that the Tub may be gone after next year and he's just waiting on that. I'd hate to see him over there against us. I dont think JF is waiting on the AU job. I think he wants to be part of this dynasty thats being assembled. That AU job will come available by midseason this year after another self implosion by the villians. I would be shocked if Tubs makes it to the Iron Bowl, and if he does, he loses to Bama and he is out.

Just found out Pat Sullivan has cancer ... from one of my recruiting contacts ... he was a coach at UAB ... think he's on medical leave now for good ... very sad ... I remember a great game in 1969 when LSU beat him and Auburn 21-20. I hope he beats the Big C.
