She, her mother, all her vietnamese friends and everyone they know swear up and down his name is pronounced Cow. there is a street in Shreveport - Jordan St. - that is pronounced Jurdan, Jerdan, etc. not sure why, but it has been that way as long as I can remember and if you ask anyone from Shreveport how to say it, they will say Jurdan.
