Yeah ... they are a much better team .. .but .. without Newton, they lose a lot of games. Right now .. he IS Auburn. If he goes pro next year, Auburn will be like Florida this year ...... gasping for air.

I'm not talking about wins and losses. I'm talking about Chizik. He just seems like a good guy to me. I've felt the same way since I saw him coach a few games. He talks TO people, not down to them like "some" coaches. No big deal, I just think he is a good coach.

Yep. I've heard this comment from lots of fans, not just LSU & Bama.

I hope they do. Would love to see an undefeated Auburn vs Oregan for the national title.

Auburn is not a one-man show. It's just that their one superstar is THAT much better than the rest of the team. There are several things Auburn has been doing right that Newton is NOT responsible for.

-The O-Line, WRs and backs blocked absolutely brilliantly.
-They have a pretty good clutch receiver (can't remember the name)
-Fairley is the best D-Lineman I've seen since Dorsey.
-The running backs have great speed and know how to follow blocks.

That's just a well-coached and talented team all around. Without Newton, they are a three-loss team but certainly nothing to sneeze at. WITH him, they are a legitimate contender. Most NC teams have the one superstar to rally around: Ingram, Tebow, Bradford (granted he didn't win), Bush, Young, etc..

Yeah, three losses SO FAR (Miss St., Clemson, SC, maybe LSU). Definitely a one-man show.

I don't even think it's a maybe against LSU, with Kodi Burns as their qb, that team would be atrocious.

Without Newton, Auburn would just be an average team.

With the way that our entire team performed on Saturday, I'm not willing to grant them the benefit of the doubt. That's what ticks me off the worst. We didn't give them anywhere near our best shot.
