I am not completely convinced of that. With how far Auburn had to come to overtake OU, and they are certainly close to doing it although it's obvious they will fall short in the end, LSU was already right on OU's butt for 2nd. An undefeated season along with those 2 near misses by OU would have vaulted LSU to 2nd in both polls and high enough in the computer polls to be 2nd in the BCS after the SEC CG.
I read an article on ESPN that Auburn only needed a jump of about 20 votes in both polls to overtake OU in the BCS... can't remember the article it was on Sat Night/ Sun Morning.
My hatred of Notre Dame borders on psychotic. I don't want them to win any game in any sport. But, the free pass given to USC by the media has forced me to swallow hard and (gulp) pull for the Irish. Then I'll go back to hating them and decide whether I want to become a Sooner fan.
