Hey Cad, if Auburn and Tubby do manage to make it through the season undefeated and beat UGA in Atlanta for the SEC Championship with that level of talent, I’ll have to hold my nose and vote for Tubby for SEC and national coach of the year. I hope I’m wrong, but it will never happen in a million years.

Now, make sure you bookmark this post! :hihi:

not quite, Auburn has talent, I think tubby could utilize the talent he has better but that's just me.

I thing Richt is the better coach, and UGA would get the nod on defense.
I think the Qb's are about even, with auburn getting the nod on O line and RB's.

Shaping up to be a show down.

are you serious? I think even Auburn fans would take David Greene over Campbell. That is similar to saying Randall and Russel are about even

well obviously anyone who follows college football would never mention greene and campbell in the same breath and I agree they shouldn't but based on this years performances you cant argue one way or the other. people are waiting for JC to screw up so they can be right but this is now and JC has played very well. People just dont watch games and judge him on his play. they listen to everyone else and the media. Thats why most were saying UT would crush AU. Probably 95% of non AU people.

similar to no one wanting to give mauck credit since he didnt put up gaudy numbers.

Hold on, I never said that Auburn wasn’t a talented team. However, Auburn doesn’t have the level of talent of a LSU or a UGA. If you don’t believe me, go to Rivals or Insiders and compare the differences in talent between the teams. As for as Tubby using his talent better goes, they did beat LSU, although some people believe, me included, that LSU is seriously underperforming and underachieving per the talent level on our team, but that’s another story.

Richt is the better recruiter and his team played about as well as a team can play last Saturday. It can’t get much better than that, and with the level of talent on this LSU team, LSU should be performing close to that level too but isn’t even close, at least at this point in the season. As for as the offensive lines and running backs are concerned, I don’t know, we held Auburn to just 10 points at home, UGA ran up 45 on us and all five touchdown passes were set up by the run. Fact is we couldn’t stop UGA’s running game, and their offensive line had quite a lot to do with that.

Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. You're telling us that COLLEGE TALENT is based primarily on how many little stars you have beside your name on one of a 100 recruiting websites??

Don't tell that to people like Dontarrious Thomas, who wasn't recruited by ANYONE but Auburn and is now in the rotation for the Vikings.

Dude, get a clue...or just shut up altogether. :thumb:

Yeah a few hundred thousand college football fans and me! Get a clue; Auburn will get a clue when they visit Tiger Stadium without JC, CW, and RB next year. Revenge, next season will be especially sweet, and you will find out exactly what I’m talking about!

actually AU will likely lose a game in the SEC since its very hard to go undefeated. SC is underrated and starting to get some respect but they aren't the fashionable pick. I know I wouldnt want to play them.

Yes, LSU has more talent overall than most teams in the country but it takes most teams time to gel through fighting in the trenches before that chemistry appears. there's no magic formula and obviously LSU is underachieving.

Phat Phil's team hasnt underachieved this year considering 2 true fresmen QBs at the helm. They've both performed miles above ours.

I think SEC fans are blinded by the overall talent and power of the conference and immediately assume teams are overrated. This is the best conference in the country and winning most any game is a feat. The talent level is far superior collectively than any other conference by far.

Any time a fan's hometeam loses people always want to find a fault in the other team. Sometimes that other team was simply better on game day. Losses suck and are hard to accept but other teams deserve as much credit as your team deserves the criticism.

well both of you are right. LSU has more talent on paper. AU has shown more talent as a team on the field which is where it counts. LSU has more potential but potential has never won a game and has lost many.
