I've never watched a game in High Def, does it really make that much of a difference?

Oh, it is absolutely phenomenal. I was skeptical at first, until my first Super Bowl in HD, and was just blown away with the size, clarity, brightness...the whole bit.

Do you remember the Purple Pants Kentucky game (sometime around '96, I think) and just how bad that picture was? I think it was a TigerVision game. Anyway, the difference between HD and regular is like comparing that UK game to a normal broadcast.

Also, some higher end TVs don't have as good of a picture as a regular console TV for standard definition. So, having it in HD makes a world of difference.

It makes all the difference in the world, after watching one game in HD you would be spoiled......
To me the picture looks better than being at the game, you must check it
    out......

With Hi-Def, you can look into the crowd and see individual strands of hair on some guy's head in the 30th row. So crystal clear, and in wide ratio. Hi-Def is awesome, Hi-Def football is heaven.

Just because you don't go to the games doesn't make you any less of a fan. I used to go to LSU games every chance I got. I've attended literally hundreds of home games and the occasional road game. As I got older, it started to really piss me off when the "coaches" in the stands were b*tching at every play that didn't pick up a 1st down or a touchdown. It got to the point that I just couldn't enjoy the game anymore. If I spoke up, I'd have to fight with some drunk who thought he had a right to make everyone around him miserable. The last game I attended was the UAB loss. The couple in front of me (season ticket holders) got up and left in the 2nd quarter !! You call them better fans than me because they "go to the games"? Bull Crap! As I said once before, Tiger Stadium holds about 90,000. There are millions of Tiger fans. You do the math.

Not to mention that some of us live in places other than Louisiana. I didn't get to any baseball games this year, but the few years before that got to a couple a year. Unfortunately, my really busy season at work is during football season and I can't get away at all.:(

But definitely still a Tigah fan!
