Check out their website: http://131.204.51.115/index.html 1. Classes are cancelled 2. Board of Trustees Meeting is Cancelled 3.Their webservers are down because of the weather 4. Even the medical clinic will be closed for a while But by God the game is on. Its obvious that football is more important than the saftey of friends and family. Would you really expect anything different from Auburn?
Classes were cancelled on Wednesday. The storm hit last night. The storm will be gone by Saturday. Automatically cancelling the game that is scheduled for two days after the rains blows through makes no sense. Cancelling classes for the days that the rain will be in town does....
Ever been thru a storm of this magnitude, Wesfau? It takes a little more than two days after the rain and wind stops for any semblance of normalcy to return. Hell, we're in the clear down in New Orleans and I can't realistically head back home until tomorrow just because of the traffic flow.
Bull **** ... what storm are you watching http://hurricane.terrapin.com/ATL-09A/track.html It hits the TN state line at noon friday ... you're delude ... two days ... get the **** outta here http://hurricane.terrapin.com/ATL-09A/ftrack.html At ... THE BIG LEBOWSKI ... :hihi: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics/AT09/refresh/AL0904P+GIF/ YOU ARE DISMISSED ... yet again
Yeah, I know...it'll also have high winds and possible tornadoes...on Wednesday and Thursday. Again, no reason to preemptively cancel the game that is scheduled to take place AFTER the storm passes. Wait and see.
Yes, I have. I grew up in Destin, Florida. I've been through lots of storms. I know what the aftermath is all about...on the coast. We're talking about a campus that is about 250 miles inland. It won't be hit nearly as hard.
Ramah, you consistenly amaze me with your ability to completely ignore logic. That storm will not be the same storm it was in Mobile when it hits Auburn. Dismissed again? How will I sleep tonight?
If you're sleeping in Alabama ... you won't Not tonight ... talk to the Big Lebowski ... now for you intellectually challenged AU fans ... the ~B~I~G~ ~R~E~D~ ~D~O~T~ represents 75+mph winds and tornadic activity ... belches loudly ... http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics/AT09/refresh/AL0904P+GIF/ Can you read?
I pose the same question to you. That map that you linked references percentage probability that the eye of the storm will pas within 75 miles of the shaded area.
