Scrappy, he won a loyal following by cultivating a close relationship with Gerry DiNardo. He got more scoop directly from the coach than was probably ever done before in the SEC.

He was at practice every afternoon doing live updates. He would get his @ss out there to do interviews, press conferences, player interviews, etc...

He worked...and he worked doing things that LSU fans liked....

He frayed the relationship with DiNardo, and of course Saban wanted no one in the media to be in any circles he ran in, but that's how Buddy became successful.

You are such a simpleton it's unreal...Do you realize that you just ignored an entire post that gave you the EXACT ROADMAP to success in your profession? You did it in order to whine about how you feel inadequate being compared to someone you feel has less talent? Who cares! Worry about yourself, and internalize what I said up there! Your career hangs in the balance, dolt!

 

I really just cant fathom how my career hangs in the balance b/c one person said I had to do it this way. I understand many of the points you made an appreciate them. Something you guys dont seem to understand is I am complimentary towards fans and towards LSU. Not all the time b/c I dont think it's warranted all the time. But when it is I'm complimentary. If I was always Mr. Negative I'd say that LSU would get swept every weekend and that the football team will finish 3rd in the west and all this. Sometimes people only hear what they want to hear. Hell, on here I post all the time. Sometimes they are just basic posts about what the manager coulda done here or if they should fix the rotation. People tell me to f**k off. It's kinda hard to be complimentary when everytime I say something nice or offer and opinion that isnt insulting, people tell me to go to hell. TE you have to see my point in there somewhere?

 

scrappy...Do yourself a favor...Take your own advice and stop posting...READ this site voraciously, and figure out what you need to do, talk about, and bring up via that tool...

 

I'll agree with Scrappy, Skyler looks like a thug. I don't care if he looks like a thug or looks like a preppy little school boy, as long as he is scoring TD's I'm happy.

 

Scrappy, I think the problem is that too many of your posts are negative. I can appreciate your attempts to be unbiased and not just be a blind homer. However, looking over some of your previous posts, many of your posts criticise in some form or another and not a whole lot strictly congratulate without atleast what some would consider a jab.

Your a host doing shows about LSU, I don't think its unreasonable for fans to expect you to like LSU. Continue to be "unbiased", but maybe you could talk more about what you do like. It may be redundant, but that's what fans want to hear - how great their team & fans are.

People on this board are going to take every thing you say negatively because you've shown a pattern of making negative comments. Whether Skyler looks like a thug or not wasn't really the point, it's that it seems you often have such a comment to make.

I appreciate that Parso. I dont know if you notice but I do try to make posts on here about just basic topics but they are shunned b/c of my rep. Thats fine. But, you cant say I dont try. If you'll remember to basketball season I was a big supporter of that whole thing. I was lobbying for people to go watch it. I talked good about it. I try to make positve posts but when I do people tell me to f**K off. It doesnt exactly make you want to be a nice guy when people are saying that stuff. I appreciate all you guys say to me whether its criticism or not. I try to just engage in the normal convo but it doesnt seem to work.
