LOL, yeah I guess so. The board itself seems a little testy, so I don't want to rock the boat or anything. I'm just a fan that enjoys LSU football. :thumb:
after reading my first post again i wanted to say that focus is not something that can be coached, this is a self trait. a coach can preach focusing on a players assignment but if the player doesn't have self maturity it won't do a thing for the player when hes on the field without the coach holding his hand. the thing that bothered me the most about carter's mistake wasn't what he did but how he hung his head instead of going out and trying to make up for the mistake. do you think if michael clayton made a mistake like that he would have hung his head and hide his face? hell no he would have gone out there with determination to make up for it. thats the biggest difference in this years team and its something that each player has to take upon himself to improve.
true but thats only because you got guys on here that had a Saban butt plug surgically inplanted at the begining of the season, and they think that his way is the only way to play. And anyone that sees and voices a difference of opinion is not a TRUE LSU fan cause we don't follow blindly like sheep to the slaughter. But then again it could just be that I ate a pound of beef jerky and a case of beer will watching the game.
i agree with the ones on webster but the passes thrown on daniels were to the receivers outside sholder and in front of him, the only thing daniels could have done is tackle him before the pass got there. a cb can turn and make a play for a ball when hes in a full sprint, the ball wasn't thrown on a rope and had touch which made it impossible for daniels to even get a finger on. look back at the replay, he would have had to jump a good 4' to get to it and in a full sprint it wasn't likely.
Sorry but I agree with Saban on this one. Therefore given your statement earlier, does this mean Saban doesn't know anything about football?
... Some folks just love to reveal in the negative. Saban is about to find out what is like to not meet the standards of some of the LSU faithful. LSU's football team is in good hands. I do not think he will let the fans influence his judgments. A winning season is on the way. That is all ways a good thing. All though a LSU lose does keep me depressed for some time I refuse to be negative about a team that is winner.
Our DB's got burnt because Georgia was able to pick up the blitz effectively. We lived by the blitz last year and are dying by it so far this year. We aren't getting the pressure on the QB so he has time to find someone open in man coverage. He couldn't do that last year because he didn't have time to wait to find someone open. That is the difference between the defense this year and last. It will be interesting to see what changes are made if any, I'm not sure we will see another team as good as Georgia though.
i think saban's coments came right after the game and after watching the film he'll see where the ball was. all you have to do is watch the game, the place where the ball was thrown there was no play for daniels to make.
I won't deny they were good passes. They had been working on that a long time just for us. I was surprised that we didn't go to more zone given that Georgia had struggled so much with zone in their previous games. I think it would have aggravated them to not allow that pass. But Saban probably thought they couldn't keep being that efficient.
