After more than solid win and AM loss, is it reasonable to think we are ranked playing Ole Miss

Nah... Maybe from a recruiting standpoint, or to the players, but to the fanbase not at all.

Shouldn't matter to the players either. Top 4 or 5 sure, 10 maybe but anything else does nothing for anyone.

I will be happy if they just keep getting better. Use the rest of the season as live practice and try it again in September.

Yeah I'm with you in that regard, as far as a playoff or the SEC that ship has sailed, it would be nice to finish ahead of Alabama though and that's still on the table.

I just don't understand the mentality there. What I assume you guys are saying is that if we can't win it all its a useless season that should be used as practice for next year?

We've lost two games. To two of the best teams in the nation.

Before Lasalle makes some prison sex reference let me say in the first game I think our very you team got taken by surprise by state out of the gate. Our freshman and sophomores at dt and a couple of our olinemen got their assess handed to them. However, they came awfully close to pulling a rabbit out the hat in that one.

In the au game they went on the road and the talented freshman qb was in over his head and this team was overwhelmed. Even in that game the talent of the youngsters flashed from time to time.

Now we've gone back to back weeks beating teams that most of you guys predicted losses to. If this team keeps growing up there's no telling what they can get done this year. I want the coaches to do exactly what it is that they feel gives us the best opportunity to win each week. It seems like they did a pretty good job of it last night.

This team in the top 4?

Then it doesn't freaking matter. I mean really how much better do you feel about being ranked 17th instead of 21st? Or 21st over 25th. Those are moral victories and they can't buy you the $2.99 breakfast at Dennys.
