You and I just have different ideas of being a fan. I want to see a team that represents LSU well. I want to enjoy watching the Tigers play every weekend and I like to feel that we have a legitimate chance to win. The polls matter to me because I want to see the young men that are busting their asses for my alma matter get the recognition they deserve. We don't have to win a national championship for me to feel satisfied with the season and I believe it's pretty unrealistic to hang your hat on doing so every year.
I never said I don't want/enjoy those things. I only said it makes a shit bit of difference to me if they are ranked 11th or 35th
I think you'd be surprised. Most schools would kill to get a coach with Les' resume. If Les were to go looking, he could land a top job, stop fooling yourself.
