1. I saw that's what South Carolina did with Josh Dobbs.
  2. I think the one thing no one is talking about this absolutely huge is Alabama's loss of Eddie Jackson. I think that is going to be the deciding factor in this game. Not just because he is a good special teams and defensive player but because he was the heart and soul of that defense. They still have great players on D, and it's next man up but Jackson was the dude lining up the defense. Remember 2003 when Saban's LSU defense lost its heart and soul at the safety position? Jack Hunt was irreplaceable and LSU lost to Florida as a result of him not being on the field.
  3. In last 5 @LSUfootball & Alabama games in Baton Rouge, the combined score is 103-103 w/ 2 OT games. #LSU won 2 of the 5.

  4. Looks like Fitzpatrick to Jackson's safety spot in base. Fitzpatrick back to the star in nickel and Hootie to safety. In dime, Tony Brown to money and repeat the nickel and there you have it.
  5. Nah, this is all about the trenches. I'm not optimistic that we have the depth.
  6. It's definitely about the trenches I'm just saying the loss of Eddie Jackson is bigger than people are making it out to be.

  7. I can get with that. It's a factor for sure
  8. Can Etling stress the safeties? With our front 7 there is going to be a lot of chuck and duck.
  9. Can whoever replaces Jackson be the leader Jackson was, or the field general? If LSU's O line can give Etling some time he should be able to outperform any QB Alabama has seen in purple and gold since Matt Flynn. Gotta protect though, tall task against a great front 7.
  10. 4 sacks minimum???? Maybe.success or failure depends on the o line
