    FWIW, the 4M for the old FB coach doesn't apply anymore. He's found other employment. Unlike some schools, we don't tend to keep old coaches on payroll for years. :wink:

  5. That specific job, no. A job, yes. It was structured in his buyout that he had to be actively seeking employment or he would default on his contract. So, in essence, I knew he would end up getting a job. Daddy Don and his influence in getting MS an interview with the Dolphins had a lot to do with the way the buyout was written.

  8. My understanding that the agents cut a deal and Shula got his money regardless. The buy out was part of the problem in November when Saban entered the picture, Shula insisted on his money - walk away, fired or whatever. At least that is what we hear in Memphis.
