I suspect Auburn played "Your Cheatin' Heart" at more than one Iron Bowl during the last decade . . .

I don't consider this clasless at all. It's part of what makes the game fun. Maybe you should watch tennis with martin.

Not sure what the appeal is to going to a BCS game that isn't the championship game. LSU gets paid the same no matter what, and the quality of opponents in the BCS bowls is pretty diluted now that they added an extra bowl and two more teams.

LSU going to the Sugar just for the sake of going to the Sugar is pointless, especially if we have to play a team like Pitt.

If you ain't in the Championship game, the BCS bowls are meaningless.

Do you get any more practice dates by playing in a BCS or later bowl or does the NCAA mandate the number of practices regardless of when you play? I suspect the latter.

Huh? The BCS bowls pay out $17 million, the cotton, cap-one, peach, and outback payout $3-4 million.

It's effectively the Top-20 playing. Football doesn't get much better.

I don't care who we play, the Sugar Bowl is like a home game for LSU and it's the traditional bowl of the best team in the SEC.

Not by a long shot, amigo. Not to recruits, not to corporate sponsors, not to the team, and not to most of the fans. There is definitely a top-tier of bowl games and the top-tier of teams play in those bowls.
