The thing about Price, one would be hard pressed to convince me he wouldn't have done a better job that Shula.

I agree. He would have done well at Bama. Perhaps even better than Saban can ever dream of doing.

Terry, is Bama really going to give Major full control of the offense or is this a message board rumor? I hope they do because it will make it easier for LSU to defend an offense with such a lack of expierence at the helm. I dont see Bama or Saban doing that so soon. I think he is on the rise but he is not ready for that kind of control.

Rumor. I expect he'll be co-OC and QB coach. Pendry, has had experience as an OC also. From what I understand, they'll share the duties with one handling the passing game (MA) and the other the running attack (Pendry.)

There are a lot of rumors floating around right now. To be honest, it's been a hoot watching them all.

I don't know if you caught the article out of Houston...but, lo and behold, Major Olgivie was a QB, along with an RB. Just another example of bad reporting, etc.

Don't get me wrong Terry, I think you will be successful with Saban, but it is a different time and a different era. I think we all agree on that, there is now no other conference that is as loaded top to bottom. The SEC's "worst" teams could be the majority of mid-major conference champions. Saban excels at building a successful program from the inside out, but once he gets Bama there he will be on an even playing field with Auburn, UF, UT, UGA, and LSU. Until 2010, it will be shear good fortune for an SEC team to win the title.
