Until we have a better record against them, I will not consider them a laughing stock. I was at every LSU-Alabama home game from 1972 to 1991 & I never saw LSU win. Even since then, we have not totally dominated.
All I care about now is two records: This year and next! :thumb: It's not where you've been that's important.......it's where you're going. :yelwink2: I'm 41, I lived threw those years too.
I respect him a great deal... My great uncle was his financial advisor/agent throughout many of his coaching days, and most of his stay at Florida.
No doubt, I'm not trying to be contrary to the good posters here. I just don't see where "What was" is relevant and as long as we keep kicking their asses (Like we will for the next several years) they can hold any tit in their mouths that pacifies them. :thumb:
Bama will not get Spurrier, period. But they must keep up "appearances," so they'll go through the motions to give their fanbase the appearance that they're shooting-for-the-best-money-can-buy, but in the end, they'll settle for a lesser name than the top-shelf names like Spurrier or Saban. The reason some folks are using the term "laughingstock" is because Alabama's efforts are so transparent to all but their own, koolaid-addicted fanbase.
