You're right about that and I'm not one to kick a man when he's down.....it's more the fact that they seem to be oblivious to the facts. I can empathize with 'em but they're almost as bad as the USC fans who throw out the past to argue the present. :thumb:
Bama sent a wrong message by firing Shula. I understand he wasn't beating AU, LSU, or Tenn. But this was a man who was brought in to guide Bama through scholarship limitations, sanctions, probation, etc.. And a year after going 10-2, he goes 6-6 and they fire him even after giving him a contract extension the year before. That's ridiculous. What coach would want to walk into that?
Stallings was paraphrasing one of his earlier quotes when he coached at Alabama. "When you start listening to the fans you will soon be sitting with them in the stands". Another great quote of his that I like. "You don't have to flaunt your success, but you don't have to apologize for it, either"
