  5. Re: University of Alabama football program will have to forfeit 10 wins

    Shhhh. I'm hunting wahoo's.
  6. 10 is not the official number. It will be more than 10 but only 5 or 6 will be on Sabans watch, the rest are under Shula. We are talking 3 seasons, 05-07. A couple local gumps are under the impression most all wins will be vacated. Nothing will be official until Alabama announces it later today. I think they are having a press conference in the next hour or so.
  7. Alabama football penalized by NCAA

The article has a link to the NCAA press conference with the opening announcement and Q&A from the media.

The NCAA has identified 7 players as "intentional wrongdoers". If a player participated in any game from 05 - 07, the NCAA wants it vacated. Those games are still being determined.

Alabama held a press conference at 4, mostly going over the allegations. I'm sure it will be quoted later, but nothing stood out for me.
  8. Re: University of Alabama football program will have to forfeit 10 wins

    just done it.

the 5 guys that were suspended in '07 were:
    Antoine Caldwell
    Glenn Coffee
    Marquis Johnson
    Chris Rogers
    Marlan Davis

so I looked at participation reports to see if their names pop up.
at least 1 of them shows up in every Alabama win from '05-'07.

That's 21 wins (22 if you count the bowl win from '05 season)
  9. Re: University of Alabama football program will have to forfeit 10 wins

So that would mean 14 wins vacated under Shula and 7 wins vacated for Saban.

12-15 over his Bama career in the books.
