    What are you talking about?

Bama played Oklahoma twice....Sooners won with their fake punt and went on to get demolished in the Sugar Bowl.

But I am sure you are talking about something else.

Darlin I stand corrected. I just don't know what came over me. I must have had a fainting spell and overlooked that 2nd defeat to the Okies.

Now what was it you were saying about playing Penn St. :hihi:

As far as Penn State is concerned...those games were rescheduled for a couple of years from now. It was a mutual agreement by both schools based on monetary matters. While it is fairly easy for a school to schedule games with a school like Ball State, scheduling games with larger OOC schools isn't as easy as just placing a phone call and saying let's play.

    ON FSU:

Dave Hart, Athletic Director for FSU, is Alumni at UA. This game has been discussed by both Hart and Bowden along with UA representatives for a few years now. Unfortunately, because of schedule conflicts, we couldn't get a home and home series worked out. So, it was agreed upon to play this game in Jacksonville. One of the biggest *players* in these negotiations was the Gator Bowl committee who have basically put a payout for both teams at around 2 million a piece. We'll be sharing the gate receipts along with getting a significant contribution from the Gator Bowl and a group in Florida that encourages tourism....can't think of the name of the group right now. (call it not enough coffee.) The game was held up by the ACC and the SEC because of the rights to televise the game. Finally, it was agreed upon that it'll fall into the same bidding process that normal games fall under...with ESPN and CBS selecting which games they want to televise that particular week.

    You are excused.

Don't let it happen again. The grammer police will storm your house and confiscate your computer.
