Bama Book Scandal Tip of the Iceberg? This story looks like one that is just getting started. It's hard to believe the NCAA is camped out at the Capstone during preparation for its biggest game of the year.
Re: Bama Book Scandal Tip of the Iceberg? You know why it's hard to believe? Because they aren't. The NCAA doesn't step in, neither does the SEC, until they receive the report from the school. They only step in if the disagree with the report, or want to research it in more detail. When the report is submitted, if they are fine with its findings, they tend to move very quickly on reinstating players. While this game has SECW implications, the biggest game of the year was last weekend. This one does rank right up there with UT, don't get me wrong, but in different terms.
Re: Bama Book Scandal Tip of the Iceberg? I don't see Bama, or any SEC team, suspending those guys for more than a game on a self-imposed sanction. Let the NCAA make an issue if they have a bigger problem.
I was thinking the same about some of your posts. They're sweeping generalizations, lacking "Meat". We're not sure that will be the case. We don't know that yet, either. And they may not. Link? I may like to "Guess" too. Linky? If it was said on a forum, it must be true. Link/source? Here’s how it’s done: One question though: Are you an LSU Tiger or an Auburn tiger? You may want to skim over the user agreement: http://www.tigerforums.com/tftos.htm
This sort of thing ought to really anger the Bama fan base. What is it with players putting so much in jeopardy for what so often amounts to nothing more than $500. Remember the stolen calling cards, purses, and minor break-ins? Oh, and let's blow tens of millions in the NFL for the joy of two or three joints a week. What a high! Dropped passes, fumbles, and missed tackles are frustrating. This sort of behavior, though, is truly awful and deserving of scorn.
It seems we have a couple of little finebaums running around stirring the pot with not proof of what they say.
