Bayou Bengal....we need all the prayers we can get.

Thanks everyone for suggestions and info. I'm lookin forward to it.
One of my best friends here in Huntsville, AL is an LSU grad and he has been telling me I'm in for a great experience.

Unless Serrano's has hired a cook who actually knows how to cook Mexican food in the 8 or 9 months since I have been there I'd stick to the free chips and salsa and wash them down with Coronas and mararitas. The fajitas were inedible. The Chimes is right next door to Serrano's and the food is very good. Try the crawfish etouffe. If you're in the mood for Mexican there is a little place on Airline Highway across from Cortana Mall called El Rio Grande. As far as I know its the only Mexican restaurant in town that is actually owned and run by Mexicans.

If you go to T.J. Ribs order the babyback ribs. Even better than Dreamland. For Italian Vincent's Italian Cuisine of New Orleans on Highland Road about 5 miles south of LSU is fantastic. Ruffino's even futher down Highland past I-10 is very good too.
Parrains on Perkins near the I 10 onramp has very good seafood, as does Mike Anderson's. You have a better chance of getting a table in a short time at Parrain's than you would at MA's. If you do go to Mike Anderson's and your party is only 3 or 4 people I would recommend sitting at the bar. You will have been served and be finished eating before people who got there before you have even gotten a table.

Parrains? Did that used to be O'briens Ice house? If it is that place used to be one of my favorites.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Inga's yet. This place has the best subs I have ever tasted. It's near Canes in a little shopping place.

Inga's is good but I like the AM Foodstore at Nicholson and Brightside for a good sandwich.
