Re: Could it be?? Miles to Colorado? I know this is all BS...but let's speculate just how ludicrous this is for a second. Why in the world would Les Miles leave LSU to coach at Colorado? here are some thoughts.... 1. Leave all the great talent on a 10-2 SEC West Champs team to take the reigns of a Big 12 North Champs team that just got beat 70-3, loves a challenge. 2. The weather, Les likes the cold and snow 3. Likes the challenge of recruiting top flight talent to Boulder in the hotbed of high school football talent that is Colorado 4. Thinks buffalo meat is better for you 5. Figured if he could become a god in Colorado because after all he won at Okie State and finished 3rd or 4th in the Big 12 South and parlayed that into big cash and the LSU job, then finishing 1st or 2nd in the Big 12 North gets him to Michigan and even more cash 6. the recruiting parties 7. More time for skiing instead of recruiting 8. loves the idea of sending young men to class to listen and be influenced by some of the "outstanding" professors at CU 9. CU's gold is the true gold 10. chance to run out of the artificial turf with Ralphie, LSU wouldn't allow Mike to lead the charges out of the chute.
Re: Could it be?? Miles to Colorado? That's some funny stuff TSdude  Letterman's writers should be contacting you any minute. :thumb:
Gerry D needs to stay on the radio and never get back on the football field ever again. As long as he is never on our sideline, oh well.
Re: Could it be?? Miles to Colorado? Until I hear Les Miles come out and say, "I don't want to be here", then I don't believe anything.
There is a press conference scheduled at 6:30 (MST) in Boulder. The CU Board of Regents met today to rubber stamp Barnett's dismissal.
Barnett is so out of there. Don't look for Les to replace him, though. From what I hear, Dennis Erickson has some very strong ties to their athletic department and is looking for a job. And, don't forget, Butch Davis and Steve Mariucci are also jobless.
