assolutely right ... # 2 ... IN AMERICA ... Based on Per Capita "talent"

    1. Florida (# of HS FB Players who ink Div 1 scholly / # who play ball)
    2. Louisiana

You Gotta sign those Joe McKnights & Will Blackwells

With the "fence" intact ... even Forrest Gump can be successful at LSU.

You're kidding, right? Per capita means everything. A statement was made that the state of Georgia isn't that fertile of a recruiting grounds. Per capita, they're are among the elite. Even taking per capita out of the equation, they're still among the elite. Simply put, Georgia is a very fertile recruiting grounds.

I understand. But Louisiana, with 4.5 million people and 76 NFL players is roughly twice as fertile, per capita, as Georgia.

This number is skewed by the high number of Division I schools in Louisiana, per capita.

LSU, U Lafayette, U Monroe, La Tech, Tulane, Southern, Grambling, Mc Neese, Northwestern, Nichols, Southeastern.

I agree, Louisiana supplies more talent per capita, but Georgia is still a talent rich state.

U can't count SU, Grambling, Mcneese, SLU, NW and Nichols as D-1.
unless you're gonna count alabama st, alabama a&m, south alabama, georgia st, valdosta st, and so on.

Of course. Louisiana still has more division I schools than average for a similar southern state.

Ga is fertile not because it has a lot of nfl players per capita, but just that it has a lot of nfl players. same goes for La. the arguement is limited by political boundaries and the fact that each football team has the same number of players. delaware could be off the charts per capita but still have a crappy football program because they only spit out 5 d1 players/year. and i think too that its not the number per state but the number per decent football program in state (and also nearby but out of state to a slightly lesser degree)
