TheRPI's were in the (I think) low 30's going into this weekend. I just checked, and Boyd's now has the Tigers at #38 and Warren Nolan has them at #37.

From Boyd's world. Intended All Non-conf # SoS SD # SoS SD Team 35 108.3 11.4 128 100.3 12.9 Louisiana State Overall the Strength of schedule is decent b/c of the SEC, but the out of conference strength of schedule is 128th in the nation. Other sec teams SOS 9 112.1 6.9 22 108.9 8.6 Georgia 24 109.7 7.7 80 103.1 7.0 Arkansas 26 109.7 7.6 48 105.1 8.9 Florida 27 109.6 10.0 85 102.8 11.1 Alabama 30 109.3 9.4 79 103.2 10.2 Auburn 31 108.9 9.6 103 101.8 9.8 Mississippi State 38 108.1 9.6 116 100.8 9.0 Vanderbilt 43 107.0 8.7 153 98.9 6.2 Mississippi 44 106.9 10.7 161 98.3 9.4 South Carolina 45 106.6 11.2 191 96.5 8.3 Kentucky 48 106.1 11.5 197 96.3 9.3 Tennessee So among the SEC schools, only Ole Miss, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Tenn had a weaker out of conference SOS. Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Kentucky compensated for that by finishing with at least a 500 record in the SEC(not sure on S.C. though for that) so they have some quality wins under their belt from winning in the SEC. RPI wise LSU's schedule and results North Florida #89 RPI took 2 of 3 Centenary #242 won 1 out of 1 Tenn Tech #263 won 3 of 3 Southeastern #167 won 2 of 2 Temple #285 won 3 of 3 Louisiana Monroe #225 won 1 of 1 Houston #19 won 2 of 3 Tulane #26 won 1 of 2 Stetson #76 won 2 of 3 I have to go now, but this is the bulk of our nonconference schedule and to me the only "quality wins" in there was Houston and Tulane. The rest there is no excuse to have any losses to as poor as those teams are.
FYI, I'm graduated from LSU in 1987. I bleed purple and gold. The University of Slow Learners (USL) had absolutely nothing to do with my screen name. I first started using this years and years ago as it was the name of my most popular ride at Pontchartrain Beach. I even have a souvenir poster from The Beach's closing day with "Ragin' Cajun" displayed prominently hanging above my computer with my LSU degree and photos of Tiger Stadium. Now, as for the other comments, that's why I don't post on this forum very much. This site has some great inside scoop, and that's why I come here, but heaven forbid if anyone posts anything that criticizes any of the athletic programs. Just because you don't like a coach or a particular player, it doesn't mean that your any less of a fan than one who just drinks his Kool-aid and accepts the status quo. One is just as important to the university as the other in terms of donations and attendance. As for Smoke, I don't like him. I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I just see the program getting worse. I was at LSU pre-Skip in the early 80's when LSU had some pretty pathetic baseball teams. However, they did have one thing that Smoke's teams haven't had for the last couple of years. Despite their lack of talent, they at least went out and played with heart. This team just doesn't have that!!! Now, who's fault could that be???
Ragin, I apologize for my recent USL comment to you. As for scrappy, people are very critical of him because he isn't a LSU fan. In fact, he is well known for bashing LSU fans and LSU. He has a history of being antagonistic towards the LSU community.
You must not be paying attention if you think LSU baseball fans are complacent or happy these days. If you went to any of the games this year, you know what I'm talking about. LSU baseball fans are speaking loudly by their absence...
No problem!!! I was just wanting to make that fact known because it's not the first time that someone has made a comment about it. Yes, I have noticed the scrappy stuff.
Actually, the ones I'm referring to are the ones that go around trying to say how this many other schools would be happy with the type of season we had and so forth. I don't give a damn about how many other schools would be happy with the season that we had because that is not acceptable to any real LSU baseball fan.
