    Bass' options

i didnt realize that the can put his keep his name in the draft (beyond today) and still play next year for lsu. evidently, if he is not selected and doesnt sign with an agent he can return.

he has talent, but he's a project without size. i would be so surprised if he went undrafted.

he'll def get drafted. you're right, if he doesn't get drafted AND doesn't sign with an agent he can come back to LSU. I think tirk was sarcastically responding to my remark tha he's gone!

I'm at work, but apparently Andy Katz is saying "he has heard" that Bass will indeed be a Tiger next year.

Glad he's hearing something in Bristol, Connecticut and we're all clueless in LA...

This is great news! I hope all that camp work has improved his game so we can destroy Mississippi Sate next year. I'm glad he made the decision to stay...

    Scouting Report
The classic low post 4 with the prototypical body ... Game is mostly focused on the interior, but he can hit occasional jump shots from the perimeter to keep the defense honest ... Possesses solid scoring skills in the low post ... Is an athletic finisher when he is close to the goal ... Strength helps him to establish deep position on the blocks ... Handles physical play well ... Solid rebounder ... An even better shot-blocker, but his aggressiveness in that aspect of the game can take him out of rebounding position ... Will eventually learn to stay at home defensively ... Uses his wingspan and quickness off the floor to routinely interrupt opponents' shots ... Considered declaring for the NBA Draft before choosing to attend LSU ... Was named a McDonald's All-American, a Parade All-American and an Adidas All-American as a high school senior ... Also the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Louisiana in 2003 ... Averaged 19.0 points and 14.0 rebounds on the season.
