    I hear ya 99

I remember sitting (correction: standing) at the top of the Georgia Dome watching LSU kick Georgia's a**. A friend of mine called to tell me that ESPN just reported that LSU might jump USC in the BCS standing. So I turn around and tell my family what ESPN just said. Some smart a** over heard and said that he was tired of people saying that because it will never happen and people are stupid for even talking about it!:dis:
I guess some people think it is cool to be pessimistic

The differnce between that situation and now is that there were several one-loss teams vying to get into the NC game. If one or two of the big three lose, that sort of conversation seems far more reasonable.

Not so fast my liberal in moderate clothing friend . USC was lucky to beat Notre Dame, hardly the toughest team on their schedule. Cal and UCLA are both superior to the Irish.

Dude, did you just go Corso on me?:hihi:

The only reason I'm not buying into the likelihood of a PAC-10 team beating the Trojans is because the PAC-10 HATES defense. I realize that ND isn't exactly an iron curtain, but they're probably a lot tougher than the west coast D's. Plus, Weis probably had a lot to do with that as well. I honestly think that if Cal was going to beat USC, they would've done it last year.

Like you i think this is just a little too much USC love for my taste.

2002 Would still be Ohio St.

    2003 Still be LSU

2004 USC I Agree but in a close game with Auburn

2005 No Way USC wins in a plus one. 2 Tough games against competition with a good defense.

Like u i don't think they could beat Texas or VTech in the NC game after a tough game aginst a #4 team (LSU :crystal: , Miami, or Alabama)!

I can realistically see LSU having no shot in the world to make it to the natl championship game. It'd be pretty hard to get there with 2 losses. :yelwink2:

Which is why Bama has no chance of sniffing any championship, not even a western division share, after playing LSU and Auburn.

I am more worried about the AU game than I am about the LSU game. AU is a better team than LSU, they just flat out gave you the win and don't deny it. 5 missed field goals is something you can't overcome. We get LSU at home and AU on the road. IF Bama does lose a regular season game, I bet it's at AU, not at home vs. the bayou kitties.
