I don't care what the circumstances are, seeing these bowl chairmen and college chancellors being forced to speak about playoffs is a sports dream come true!!

Well, it is not a case where the BCS games are played, then the two top teams as a result of those games go on after that to play in a plus one game. It is simply an extra BCS bowl. You'd know the pairings for all five games on BCS selection Sunday as always.

    I agree! :thumb:

As far as the plus 1 goes, I don't see how that could work unless there were more than 2 undefeated or one loss teams. As much as I hate both teams in the rose bowl, it wouldn't be fair to make either one of them play someone else after that game in order to win the championship. A plus one in 2003 would have been perfect. LSU/USC, winner takes all. Plus 4 or nothing if you ask me.

That explains that. Money, nothing else. If they are going to push the championship game back to Jan 8th, they should drop one open date from everyone's schedule and do an 8 team playoff. I thought their gripe has always been that they did not want to extend the season due to the players school schedules.

"The BCS system works best in years when it is not needed at all, like this year."
