1. You need to change that to ANY SEC vs Big 10 matchup cause in bowl games the Big 10 actually has a better Win/Loss record against us all-time. We have a better overall record in head-to-head.
  2. Taking ND and those 9' points all day long. Well, I will probably wait and see if gump nation pools their trailer rent together to push it back to 10 before kick off and then fire at it. Slippery either way, if the guido's beat me to the window they could push it down to 9 but I'd still take it. May even get a little Irish on the money line.

  3. It wouldn't bother me if Bama never won another game. I hate both teams to be honest but ND in this game is the lesser of the two evils. Geaux Domers...
  4. They're not coming over to see the game. They're coming to see that wild man liquored up.
  5. I cannot cheer for Alabama under ANY circumstances. However, the one problem I have with rooting for ND is the following. ND is the only team that stink up college football as a whole for 10+ years, and the media STILL treats them as though they are relevant with tremendous amounts of coverage. I really want them to go back to their corner and shut up. If Alabama wins...yes, the media will slobber all over Saban and crew. But, you have to admit, Alabama does not get the media love affair treatment when they are losing...see years with Shula.
  6. It's USC's media attn that gets me.
  7. definitely has a David vs Goliath feel to it. check out how the two have done in recruiting (per Rivals, Scout, ESPN):

    ND
    2009 #14/#21/#23
    2010 #14/#19/#21
    2011 #8/#9/#10
    2012 #9/#16/#20

    Bama
    2009 #1/#2/#2
    2010 #3/#4/#5
    2011 #1/#2/#7
    2012 #1/#1/#2

Notre Dame has squeaked by against a lot of mediocre teams this season:
    W 13-6 over Michigan (8-5 record)
    W 17-14 over BYU (8-5 record)
    W 22-13 over USC (7-6 record)
    W 29-26 (OT) over Pitt (6-7 record)
    W 20-17 over Purdue (6-7 record)

While Bama has dominated all the mediocre teams they have played
    W 41-14 over Michigan (8-5 record)
    W 38-7 over Miss State (8-5 record)
    W 35-0 over WKU (7-6 record)
    W 33-14 over Ole Miss (7-6 record)
    W 42-10 over Missouri (5-7 record)
    W 44-13 over Tennessee (5-7 record)
    also:
    W 52-0 over Arkansas
    W 49-0 over Auburn
    W 49-0 over Western Carolina
    W 40-7 over Florida Atlantic

    My prediction:
    Bama scores 41~21 points
    Notre Dame scores 20~13 points

Bama does similar to how they've done to other midwestern powerhouses in recent years:
49-7 over Mich State in 2010
    41-14 over Michigan in 2012
27-11 over Penn State in 2011
24-3 over Penn State in 2010
  8. I've tried leading up to the game but I can't pull for Notre Dame. Just can't do it.
