they are definitely getting a boost from Arkansas' upset over Auburn

and they played Nebraska as well....so it was definitely smart scheduling on their part to get a boost in their SOS

Until they loose, Southern Cal is No. 1.

I think their strength of schedule speaks for itself.

It's not. The first BCS poll will be released Tuesday, October 17th.
I think he's referring to a couple of the computer rankings, which doesn't tell us much as they only count 1/3rd as a group... and not all are "out".

    From BCS.org:

The Standings include three components: USA Today Coaches Poll, Harris Interactive College Football Poll and an average of six computer rankings. Each component will count one-third toward a team's overall BCS score.

Six computer rankings will be used: Jeff Sagarin, Anderson & Hester, Richard Billingsley, Colley Matrix, Kenneth Massey and Dr. Peter Wolfe. Points will be assigned in inverse order of ranking from 1-25. A team's highest and lowest computer ranking will be discarded in calculating its computer rankings average. The four remaining computer scores will be averaged and the total will be calculated as a percentage of 100.
    ______________

One computer ranking that is out is the Seattle Times (Anderson & Hester). They not only have USC as # 1, they also have the PAC-10 as the # 1 conference. Go Figure.

Are you on crack, they play in the Pac-10 ???
    Arizona (struggled to beat)
Barely beat two teams SEC and Big 12 teams hammered by multiple touchdowns??

I think their strenght of schedule is the only reason they are undefeated.
Have them play at UGA, Auburn, LSU, UF, Tennessee or heck have some at home see if they are undefeated... They will win some I am NOT saying they are a bad team, but for two weeks they squeaked by on the last second to unranked flat out terrible teams.
