In my sig, I have the BCS Standings mocked up with the 5 computers that have been released. Florida should make up a lot of ground this weekend if they beat Auburn. (That should raise Florida's SOS and drop USC's slightly).

As much as I hate USC, I've got to give it up for their AD (or whoever is responsible for putting together their schedule). Every year they have a schedule full of teams that have no shot at beating USC, but will finish with a good enough record to boost their computer rankings. Bertman and company should learn from this.

I pulled this off of the USC forum.

If USC played in the SEC, with LSU or UF's schedule, they would be a 2-loss team this season.

If they keep playing the way they've been playing, they'll have two losses in the three games against California, Oregon, and Notre Dame. USC's secondary is struggling and their offense is not high-powered point scoring machine like when Leinhart, Bush, and White.

They do have injuries but things are a mess for them right now.

Agreed. Especially considering how they looked in their games early this year. If they walked into Auburn or Florida and played like they played on Saturday, they'd have left with an 'L'.

The unofficial standings look accurate of course, but Billingsley’s site has links to the other computer polls if anyone wants to check them directly - http://www.cfrc.com

The BCS rankings will be released on Sundays this year, I’m guessing that Fox will have a segment on their NFL broadcast dedicated to it…

I have USC at #5. For reference, Boise St is #7, Ohio St is #3, Florida is #1, LSU is #18, and Georgia is #32.

You're right Hawker, it is computer rankings bad choice of words on my part and didn't mean to mislead anyone.
