I don't think BCS counts Div II opponents, so throw App St out the window. N. Texas and MSU are just flatout detrimental to our schedule. Our opponents losses by team's not on our schedule hurt us too Auburn losing to Ga. Tech Florida losing to S. Carolina Tenn losing to ND & Ga. Vandy to Kentucky Arizona St. losing to just about every decent Pac 10 team. Even though our top 3 wins are comparable to Penn St., our bottom 5 aren't doing their part.
Georgia is still a team that no one is taking very seriously. I doubt that it would matter much one way or the other. An LSU blowout of Georgia in the Dome would be more noticable, but that would take some doing. A 7 point win over Georgia is more likely. Meanwhile, Penn State is going to get a whole lot of love from the east coast press. Michigan State is so inconsistent that it depends on which team shows up. The one that beat ND or the one that got slapped around by Northwestern? We shall see!
Getting slapped around by a bowl-bound 6-4, soon to be 7-4, Northwestern wasn't near as bad as getting slapped around by a 4-6 Purdue. MSU needs to beat PSU just to get a bowl... ain't gonna happen.
Very good point... and quite honestly the SEC and the Big Ten have not done a great job of handling OOC ranked or now bowl-bound teams... whereas the ACC has been building up rep points with the press. The SEC has had had six OOC games against ranked or bowl bound teams (with Fl/Fl St , Clemson/Carolina & Geo/Gatech yet to play)... and has won two: Georgia beating #18 Boise State and LSU beating #15 ASU. The Big Ten has played seven and won two (with ND figuring in three games)... The ACC, on the other hand, has played in seven (with Fla's and SoCar's yet to play) and they have won five. So there IS a reason the ACC has been picking up "power points".... and Miami gets to be ranked #3.
This LSU team with its playcalling couldn't hang serious points against Apple State and was shut out for a half against Bama ... hence, JIMBEAUX doesn't have the ass to kick start his Harley ... he's still got JR riding on PeeWee Herman's bicycle ... on the handlebars. The LSU offensive attack ... Novacaine for my Soul ... sputtttttttering. LESS THAN 30 POINTS PER GAME NOW ... NO EXCUSES WITH THIS OFFENSE MY POINT, A SIMPLE QUESTION: Can you imagine what Steve Spurrier would have done with this offense in his first year back in College ball? Mull that around in your mind for a millisecond. JIMBEAUX'S "limp-dick" LSU offense will win against Ole Miss & Arky ... toss up versus Georgia just like the Bama game. Playing Flynn for a couple of series in the remaining games would put points on the board. He has the LSU system down and has shown the ability to connect with a vertical passing attack and put points on the board. LSU won't do it because of Miles ... and Flynn sits his ass ... a definite passing and serious scoring threat :dis: Flynn needs a few series each game, esp. in those quarters where JR has poor statistics. I guarannnnnnn****ingteeeeeee you that Steve Spurrier would be playing Matt Flynn a few series each game. Penn State with one 27-25 loss at Michigan will be the darling and get the nod ... Jopa's ready to croak anyway ... Lettttttttttemmmmmhavvvvvitttttt!
Mr. "Bleaux-it-all" is correct ... LSU has 270 points in 9 games ... exactly 30 per game. LSU drops below the 30 mark when they face a tough Ole Miss defense that will certainly hold them below 30. I'm one week early ... but my point is still valid ... where's the offense?
You wish I was bleauxing your horn. Your points are rarely valid and you spew hatred and vileness. That's the offense, Mr. Know Nothing.
