Oregon looks to be in command. We need ASU to mount a comeback and take a little off the shine of what looks like an impressive win by the Ducks.

More importantly, we need BC to lose. Here is my thought pattern. If BC wins, voters will be inclined to jump Oregon past LSU in the human polls. If BC loses, voters will more than likely just move both LSU and Oregon up 1 spot, to #2 and #3, respectively. Oregon and LSU will be quite a tussle for the computer polls as well. I think Oregon will edge us after this week (in the computer polls, that is). If we can keep about even in the human polls, the SECCG will give us the needed boost to play in the NC.

It's 2003 all over again. LSU knocks out a PAC-10 team to play for it all.

Go FSU. Please win this game.

Why do you think Oregon would jump LSU, regardless of the BC game?

If Oregon continues this rout, I think it's inevitable.

I think the BC loss helps LSU keep a healthy lead over Oregon in the human polls. Its so much easier now for voters to just slide LSU to #2 and Oregon to #3.

LSU should have their destiny in their own hands. We shall see what the margin of error is tomorrow afternoon.

LSU was 44 points ahead of Oregon in the Coaches poll (with 65 voters).

LSU was 135 points ahead of Oregon in the Harris poll (with 114 voters).

So in one poll, Oregon is less than 1 spot away from LSU. In the other, they are slightly more than 1 spot behind LSU.

I think that margin should be about the same, maybe just a slight closing of the gap between LSU and Oregon.

Oregon will surpass us in the computer polls, because ASU was so very high.

Oregon should be a solid #2 in the computer polls with LSU a solid #3.

I will run the numbers later.

Kansas is in the mix in some polls because of their undefeated record. Ohio State in others. Ohio State didn't get much of a boost from Wisconsin, as Wisconsin was not in any computer poll's top 25.

Another ASU loss will hurt Oregon's gain. I think they will lose at least one more game.

I think Oregon has a chance thats why I wanted ASU to win because yes they may have jumped us this poll maybe but they had to go to UCLA next week then after that our friends from USC was going to beat them and we would be right back in at Number 2.

The thing in favor of LSU over Oregon is that LSU has a championship game to play, which will help them in the computer polls.
