man, i really hate to do this...gotta agree with terryp....don't see any disrespect in what he said. game film doesn't lie. it doesn't take into account dorsey's injury et al, but it doesn't lie.

yea but you have to take into account injuries which we had a slew of them and that matters the most. At full strenght nobody ran the ball on LSU and thats the truth. I see it as disrespect, if you are going to make it a comment like that. You have to mention the injuries and competition we had at the time of those injuries......

    thats my opinion...
    hope you respect it
    cause I respect yours.

He is also looking at film minus RJF. I think he may be the X factor for this defense. If they double team Dorsey, RJF will be the MVP if he can maintain his stamina.

Beanie looked like **** in the Ill game. He went down on the first hit several times. Healthy, we're twice the defense Ill is.

Beanie is no Run DMC that for sure and its easy to look good playing the crappy teams they played.

Nobody ran on LSU until the injuries to Dorsey and even more importantly Beckwith.

Ole Miss employed a running QB and we got burnt by him on a few occasions (Cutrera played horribly in Beckwith's absence). DMac is who he is, possibly the first player taken in the draft this coming year.

Those were the only 2 teams to have significant success running the ball on us.

Let's look at the Tennessee game:

26 carries for just 94 yards.....a team that had been running the ball really well as of late. Foster had 21 carries for 55 yards for a 2.6 avg. He went into that game with a 5.3 avg and over 1100 yards. He was no slouch.

That was with a banged up Dorsey.

One thing I will guarantee for this game, the Ohio State Buckeyes will not reach the 100 yard mark in rushing. What does that mean? Boechman will be forced to throw on 2nd and 3rd and long for much of the game, something he is not accustomed to doing, something he does not do well.

That's a bold statement. Ohio State had less than 100 yards last year vs Florida but a lot of that was because Troy Smith wasn't just off, he wasn't even in the same universe. I think he had what, two passes completed in the 1st half?

Perfectly stated. No team has been successful running on us when Beckwith is healthy. It's been that way the past 2 years.

Eh... I'll say that Ohio St won't break the 150 yard mark in rushing. I think they'll be right at 100, but it won't be because of success, it will be because they force it & keep trying.

Wells is a good RB, but I expect us to start off the game focusing on him & forcing Boechman to beat us. If Boechman can't, Wells is really going to struggle.
